366 Days of Writing Prompts – Day 142

May 21, 2016

When you started your blog, did you set any goals? Have you
achieved them? Have they changed at all?

For this blog, my only goal was to write via prompts. I had no set agenda, no long term plans. Now I do make plans throughout the year for certain projects on this blog, but I still keep everything prompted. One major promise that I made to myself is that so long as I am having fun, I will keep blogging here. If it ever starts feeling like a chore, it’s time to hang up the blogging cap.

How about you, dear readers? Did you set goals for your blog? Have you achieved them? Share your thoughts with me in comments.

  1. I started blogging for fun and enjoy it very much. I have learned so much by blogging. It’s a lot of work but worth it.

  2. One goal I had when I started my blog was to share my work. I have a few stories on my blog, but there’s always more. So, I feel like this is a never ending goal.

  3. My goal was to rid myself of the writers block that I had suffered from for two years. I started by writing book reviews, slipping in small bits of original writing. I am now doing both and finding the writing flowing freely again. It is serving its purpose.

  4. I’ll go along with that, too, Lori. I’ve been through the cycle of a hobby becoming a chore, and was more than happ to drop it. Maybe I’ll tell you about it one day (it’s not secret, just rather boring).

  5. I’m with you Lori – if it becomes a millstone around the neck, then it’s time to call it quits !!

What's on your mind? Let me know!
