No Time Outs – #poetry #aprpad
Prompt: write a time out poem
No Time Outs
I won’t complain
nor beg and plead
the Universe answers
and not in good ways
each time I feel bogged
and ask for a time-out
the Universe answers
with a cold or worse
no, no begging, pleading
I will just plod along
keep a suitable pace
’cause time outs for me
don’t come in one day
some have lasted weeks
some for months
and that dry spell
for a year, drove me
nearly insane
so, no complaints here
do you hear me, Universe?
while your are elsewhere
busy with some other life
I will just sneak a nap
maybe watch a movie
or take a long walk, instead

I HATE those desert times…
Me too, Calen.. they feel endless like being sucked into quicksand
Thank you, dear π
