“Endless Despair” Tritina #poetry #napowrimo

April 7, 2016

Prompt: write a tritina

“Endless Despair” Tritina

I swallow the bitter
Of your tongue, cower in the night
Afraid I will sink and drown

Worn down and weary, I drown
From pills so bitter
I cannot tell day from night

Now my soul is dark as night
Your cursed memory, I drown
I am left alone, bitter

In bitter despair, I drown in the endless night

It is all about words. Your words are enough to shatter someone's heart. Your words are enough to make a broken heart unbroken. Words have the power to change your life perspectives.
