Becoming Human – #drabble

April 3, 2016

for Sunday Photo Fiction

Becoming Human

They said it might take a while. I never imagined it would take three years. Three long years of near-existence. Three years of merely being a two dimensional being. Three years before I could even cast a shadow.

Becoming human is a difficult task. It doesn’t just happen overnight. You walk-in, expecting to be fully functioning, but it takes time. Your vibrational body has to change frequencies. You are no longer merely a spirit.

“How does it feel, Na’tal?”

“Strange, doctor.”

“You have a fifty-year contract. You will get used to it.”

Fifty years on Earth. What comes next?

I wonder why Na’tal only has a 50 year contract. And what is she supposed to do on earth?

    • She’s a walk-in… which means she is taking over a human’s body.. she will be observing and learning..

Oh I see, kind of sucks that you can’t actually do anything. Good for the human the walk-in can’t but maybe frustrating for the walk-in? Very creative and good story though. I enjoyed it.

      • Yes, very frustrating for the walk-in.. the human spirit has gone on and the walk-in must learn to adjust. Thank you, Mandibelle!

  5. Everybody has this contract signed.
Becoming Human is the subject of the contract not understood.
The period of the contract not known.
That all leads to the confusion.
    What comes next?

  6. Cool! Na’tal has a lot to learn πŸ™‚

  7. Great story! Very mysterious! πŸ™‚

  8. I love this one πŸ™‚ It leaves you with a lot of questions which is always quite a good thing!

  9. Thank you, my angel πŸ™‚
