Prompt: write a poem that takes the form of a family portrait

Family Portrait

loving, selfless and true
O father how we love you

trapped forever in her past
a mother’s love didn’t last

a hypocrite, I recall
sister dearest wanted all

gave up on life early on
finally, the treasured son

and I, the family’s rattling bone
have lived a life I must atone
