Felicity’s Wish – A Healing Community
for JusJoJan – Prompt: Felicity
I have a dear friend who has a vision, a dream and the land to set up this dream. It is called Felicity’s Wish, or FW for short (basically to make it easier for me). FW is a place of healing and community. My friend’s dream is to have several small shelters put up on her gorgeous land in rural Virginia: a small Victorian house, a community resource for bathroom services and laundry services, and a glassed-in gazebo where healing arts can be taught and performed. Eventually, she would like to see other like-minded individuals living on the land with her. She has plans for trees planting and gardens, walk-ways to be added, and a sustainable community. I love her vision and would love to see her dream come true.
She’s had some difficult times getting this concept going. The biggest challenge is to find builders who understand her vision and are willing to work to see the vision come to fruition. Sadly, she has not been able to find a builder who will work with her vision. Many things have gone wrong which have caused her to lose money or spend extra money. In fact, her funds are quickly dwindling away. Her greatest challenge now is to get assistance via healing arts exchange since she can no longer afford to pay people for the work they do, although she can still pay for the supplies. She is a Reiki Master and wants to train others to perform Reiki in lieu of payment. As someone with not many resources and definitely no money to invest, it breaks my heart to see her dream dying. With the state of the world these days, it would be wonderful to see a community like this thrive in rural Virginia.
The purpose of this is not to recruit or beg anyone for money. What I would like to see is people supporting her cause in anyway they see fit. Whether it be just liking her FaceBook page, Felicity’s Nest, or by helping her to find builders or other like-minded people to work with her. Please stop by her FB page and offer her some love and support. See her vision for FW which she has posted there. And if you feel inclined to help, please let her know.
