365 Days of Writing Prompts: Day 13
Clean slate
Explore the room you’re in as if you’re seeing it for the first
time. Pretend you know nothing. What do you see? Who is
the person who lives there?
In this room is a mish-mash of artsy things: shelves of books, racks of magazines, various art supplies, and collages, drawings and paintings upon the walls by the artist herself. A desk is filled with notebooks, pens, a laptop, and rows of vitamins. Every spare corner holds a potted plant. There is an altar set up on a chest of drawers with crystals, candles and statues of the Goddess and the Buddha. In one corner there is a mat and pillow for meditation. Clothes are strewn about haphazardly. And a large bed of black is turned down for sleep.
The person who lives here is creative, studious, and allows herself to be unique and free. She doesn’t live her life by time-tables or routines. She cares more for spontaneity than she does for the boring and mundane. She loves nature and art. She worships the Goddess and reveres the Buddha. By the clothes tossed about, she has an eclectic style: Jeans, dresses, skirts, and loose-fitting blouses. Whimsical, bohemian, witchy and hippie would describe her best. She is her own person, knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to be herself.
