365 Days of Writing Prompts: Day 1

January 1, 2016

Stroke of Midnight

Where were you last night when 2015 turned into 2016? Is
that where you’d wanted to be?

At midnight, I was sitting at my writing desk in my childhood home watching Doc Martin on Netflix and reflecting on 2015. Alone. In Solitude. In Contemplation.

Here, I am surrounded by gorgeous mountains and a small-town attitude. Life is simple here and I’ve chosen to be back here at a time in my life when I need all things to be simple. Peace and solitude also find me here, as well as “gap” moments with cawing ravens.

So yes, this is exactly where I want to be. Where I need to be.

  1. It is nice to know that where you are is where you are meant to be. Kudos! And thank you for following my blog. I hope you enjoy your visits.

    • Thank you 🙂 and thank you for stopping by. I am sure I will enjoy visiting your blog 🙂 Enjoy your day!

I was right here, blogging and networking 😀
    Thanks for the follow 🙂

  3. I envy you. I’ve dreamed of that place. I’ve always pursued the cacophony of the city, any city, the bigger the better. I’ve lived in many and finally, now that I’ve settled in the 2nd largest, realize I’m done with it. Or it’s done with me. Anyway, it’s too much and I don’t think human beings were meant to live this way. May your peaceful place bring you your best writing days.

    • Thank you, Amy… I lived in a couple of mid-sized cities, so yes, this place is a blessing to me now. I hope you can find the place you are meant to be soon 🙂

  4. Thanks, love for linking to my posts.. as always, I am eternally grateful 🙂 Blessings to you!
