Happenings in 2016

December 25, 2015

This is a list of my projected projects for 2016. It will be interesting to see how many of them I accomplish over the year. I may complete them all and I may only complete a few of them, but I definitely need to get back to my writing and get some projects completed.

YEAR-LONG PROJECTS

For the entire year, I will be doing 365 Days of Writing Prompts, a download that I snatched from Word Press that came out in 2013. You can find it happening over at Promptly Written

Also for the entire year, I am going to do small stones over at A Whispered Wind

NOVEMBER

I will be participating in NaNoWriMo, but I am not sure yet if I will post my novel on any of my blogs at this moment. This will be my 3rd attempt in 4 years. Something always seems to come up around that time to prevent me from completing this challenge, but not in 2016! I am sending out to the Universe that I will complete a novel in November 2016!

DECEMBER

No project scheduled as of yet

PROJECTS TO WORK ON

  • More Astraeus stories (or another novella) – these will be posted on Promptly Written as I get them completed – I will be adding them here because this is where I began the project last April for the A-to-Z Challenge and I don’t want to confuse my readers by moving them to another blog – they will not be prompted stories.
  • Post my Ravyne Ramirez stories and write more of them – these will be posted on A Whispered Wind
  • More of the Candy from a Stranger stories – these will be posted on A Whispered Wind
  • I began a series of stories earlier this year called Killer Tales and I want to write more of them – these will be posted on A Whispered Wind
  • I want to work on some Flash Fiction this year, some time during the summer months
  • Poetry – I want to write 100 new poems for publication. These will not be posted on any of my blogs
  • I’ve been working on a project with a friend about Bobby Kennedy, so I will continue my research on that – none of that will be posted on any of my blogs.

This seems like a lot of projects, but spaced out over a year, that really isn’t a very big to-do list. As I decide which months to do which projects, I will update this list of Happenings.

  1. It’s good you schedule. I ended up writing 405 short stories in one year. This year 2 long books in one month. Now onto another book. Writing can be an addiction for me its so much fun. And is good for you!

    • Wow, that’s a lot of stories and two books!… not sure how many I will finish by the end of the year… have plans for something each month though. And yes, it is an addiction πŸ™‚

      • Yea its like an impulse thing if I got ideas for a book or story I get of my butt write it or save ideas. I will write more horror books. I love horror. Well you are well planned. I came up with the ending for my book you will love it when I finish it. Perfect ending.

      • I get like that too… I have two randy little muses who are always chattering away in my head… they are pests and will keep after me until I sit down and write.

I am looking forward to your ending… intriguing mind.. ya know πŸ˜€

      • I have muses too Rita B, Paris, AnnMarie a lot of my friends appear in the stories. Rita B has appeared in the majority of my 860 stories. She is a long time friend twenty eight years.

      • Oh wow.. that is great that they are friends and muses and you put them in your stories… Catharine and Evelyn show up in my poetry sometimes πŸ™‚

      • Cool we have that in common. I think its a special thing to write something for someone. How many times in your life does a person write you a song or story. I wrote my friend Samantha a book named after her ‘Samantha Adams’ she loved it. I also did that for another friend too.

      • That is cool πŸ™‚ well, Catharine and Evelyn only exist in my mind, though I see them very clearly and I do talk to them… I do write poetry every week for a friend and long ago, I wrote a whole book of poetry for a guy I was seeing at the time. But I do agree.. it is a special thing to do for another person πŸ™‚

      • I tell you a crazy story I have a girl that only exists in my mind too. I had a dream I married her while we meeting on this awesome musical play we were both in. I played in real life a retired actor young who has been working as a dustman and my friend gets me to return to the acting musical to act with Bella. I call her Bella she looks a little Goth deff Italian. I wrote Bella stories for a while I may go back to it.

      • Oh cool! I will look forward to her stories if you decide to go back and write them πŸ™‚

      • Right now I am back in a Rita B writing mode. Before I was doing many with my friend Paris. I took a break to go back to the face of my franchise in Rita,

      • Awesome! It’s good to switch back and forth sometimes. You could get in a rut otherwise πŸ˜€

      • Yea true its funny Rita B and Paris are very similiar. Very kind and nice. Women of grace and very classy.

      • Ah! Beautiful πŸ™‚ it must be so easy to write about them then πŸ™‚

      • Yea those are always going to be great stories. Rita, Paris and Sammi are my great friends who get the big parts in ‘Freddy vs Jason 2’ I have done a good job in this book making everyone one equally important in their roles. It’s an exciting story.

      • I love to hear writers excited about their work πŸ™‚ that’s when you know they still enjoy inventing stories and don’t consider it a “job”

      • Yea plus I know a lot of fans of those series will love it. It could get a popular following on here. This is really living the dream doing this book.

      • Hopefully you can tap into more of those fans and definitely make an impact πŸ™‚

      • Yea hard to locate them on wordpress. I’ve only got a couple readers.

      • Hopefully word will get around. Do you post on FB and Twitter? those might help too.. especially on Twitter using these tags: #horror #horrorwriters #amwritinghorror
I’ve gotten a lot of new readers as a result of those tags

      • Yea I posted on fb first before my sister created wordpress for me to share writing. Don’t have twitter.

What's on your mind? Let me know!
