What I Am Looking Forward To This Summer

I am not a big fan of summer. I hate the heat and humidity; it makes me deathly ill. I usually stay inside most of the time under air conditioning. However, I would like to get away to the beach this summer, if at all possible. It has been nearly twenty years since I was last there and I miss the Ocean like I would miss breathing.

I also want to work on a chapbook of poetry this summer. I plan on picking a theme and writing all new poems. I’d like to get around 80-100 new ones written for this project. That would consume most of my summer. And then edit them during Autumn, perfect them this Winter and have them ready to submit by the beginning of the year.

I also want to make a daily habit of walking and taking photographs of my walks. Maybe keep a blog about the journeys.

Other than those things, Summer doesn’t hold much appeal for me. I am more of an Autumn person.
