Thoughts on Poetry in April

April 14, 2015

It has come to my attention that most of the poems I’ve written so far this April for the PAD Challenge have been confessional, abrasive, and about the ex. It has only been six months since I left him, and although I wrote a good many poems during those tortuous years about him, apparently I am still in the healing process. Since tomorrow marks the half-way point in this challenge, I am going to change directions. I pledge to write about anything, anyone, except for the ex.
