30 Day Blog Challenge — Day Twelve

April 12, 2015

Makeup of the Day

This prompt gave me quite a chuckle. It has been years since I’ve worn makeup. It’s just not necessary in my day to day routine anymore. The last time I did wear makeup was probably back in 2012. I was living with my friend Carol and we would sometimes put on makeup when we went to CR or Church.

In my 20s and 30s, my preference was goth-style makeup. Dark eyeshadows, pale foundation, red or a dark brown lipstick, even black lipstick on occasion. Since I am older (much much older!), I doubt I could get away with that look anymore. I would probably have to go with more natural shades and lighter lipstick. Still… I remember those goth days fondly. I loved wearing makeup then. The stranger, the better.
