Poetry Prompt — a never again poem

April 13, 2014

Oh No, Never Again

My tongue will never again linger
on the sharp S-curve of your neck
I will never again coax your nipples
with a single blow from my lips
perked and ripe to be kissed
Oh no, I will never again bewitch
your thighs with the tip of my fingers
luring them to expose
the confections they harbor
I will never again taste the salt
of your tears as you reach the pentacle
of a moment’s indulgence
You will never again hear me whisper
je veux te faire l’amour
as I enfold you against my body

You said never again
so why the beating upon my door?
